Some days at the studio feel a little different. Not because we step away from what we do, but because we get to share it with the people who need it most: kids who are just starting to learn what taking care of themselves really means.

In June 2025, our team visited The Goddard School in Flower Mound for a kids dental health education session. The goal was simple: spend time with preschoolers and kindergartners, answer their (surprisingly excellent) questions, and help them understand that brushing their teeth is not a chore. It is one of the first ways they get to take care of themselves.

Why We Show Up

Cafe Smile Studio sits right here in Highland Village, surrounded by families in Flower Mound, Double Oak, Lantana, Argyle, and Lewisville. These are our neighbors. Their children are the next generation of patients who will either grow up comfortable at the dentist or afraid of it. We would rather they grow up comfortable.

That is why Dr. Neha Gupta and our team do not wait for families to come to us. We go to them. School visits like this one at The Goddard School are not about marketing. They are about planting a seed. When a four-year-old learns to count to twenty while brushing (front, back, and chewing surfaces), that habit sticks. And when they remember the friendly faces who taught them, the dentist stops being a scary place.

What the Day Looked Like

Our team walked into a room full of energy. Preschoolers and kindergartners sat in a circle, eyes wide, ready to learn. We brought our oversized dental model and a giant toothbrush, because nothing captures a child's attention like a set of teeth bigger than their head.

The kids learned about the "brushing song" (twenty seconds, just like washing your hands), why sugar bugs love to hide between teeth, and what happens when we skip brushing before bed. They practiced brushing techniques on our dental model, taking turns with the giant toothbrush while their classmates cheered them on.
